Don’t wait until the next membership drive; work on your database when things are quiet. a. Add new members regularly. Make sure no one misses anything. You want all your your members receive everything b. Delete old records. Nothing wastes postage, time or effort more than a wrong address c. Update current records. Make sure you have current addresses, emails and phone numbers. Send a note asking for corrected info. If a letter comes back in the mail because of a bad address – have someone track down that addressee and get up-to-date information. But don’t just re-post the letter; update your database as well. |
